Take Care of Your Body

Good nutrition strengthens both body and mind so that you are able to work through your daily challenges. Here are some tips to improve your nutritional outlook...even as a busy student! 

  • Make time for meals  - eat on a regular schedule.
  • Take healthy, portable snacks with you when you know that you will have an especially busy day.  
  • Stay hydrated by drinking water and non-caffeinated, non-sugary beverages. 

Just as with nutrition, sleep can enhance your ability to think clearly and perform at your best. Here are some ideas to help you improve the quantity and quality of your sleep. 

  • Do your best to get 7 hours of sleep each night.
  • If you can't get 7 hours of sleep on a particular night, take a short (15-30 minute) nap the next afternoon.
  • Wind down before going to bed. Listen to soft music or do a little stretching.
  • If your sleep is often interrupted by noise, get earplugs.
