Decision-Making Techniques

As we discussed in the previous lesson, career destiny is not mapped in advance and is no longer one-dimensional. As with most things in life, we cannot anticipate all changes to our major or career. Instead, we prepare for how to process and decide the next steps when presented with a major or career choice.

In this lesson, we will look at the decision-making process to help determine your career goals using two techniques based on your decision-making style in order to develop and implement a potential plan.

  • Goal Setting
  • MAUT Analysis
  • Silhouette Technique
  • Action Plans

Let’s begin our investigation of the above strategies and put at least one into practice as you analyze the information gathered from FOCUS.
