Where Can I Find Information about Graduate Programs?

Whether you have narrowed down your choices for graduate education or are just starting to explore, you need to gather information about schools that offer programs that fit your goals. There are many different sources of information.  General ones include:

Once you have identified some programs that look interesting, visit their websites. Keep in mind that they are trying to present their information in the most positive light, so you cannot make a decision solely on what you see there.

Your professors can be a good source of information about schools. Ask them for contacts at the school they're recommending. If you know students who are currently in a program, you can get a first-hand evaluation of its strengths and weaknesses.
